Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

In this week’s podcast, I talk about my experience at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I also share some tips for those of you who are thinking about attending this year!

Tips & Tricks … & Treats

This was my first year going to MNSSHP and I had a blast! However, we could have done a little more planning. Like most Disney trips, this event does require a bit of planning since there is so much to do in so little time. The event starts at 7 and goes until midnight. Which only gives you 5 hours to ride all the rides you want, get candy, watch HalloWishes, Hocus Pocus, and the Boo to You Parade.

Thankfully, one thing you don’t have to worry about is getting fast passes for rides. The low wait times alone make the $80 ticket worth it. When you can walk onto rides like Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train, it is a good day. We had made the mistake of eating dinner there and that really ate into our time (pun intended). So, if you eat before you get to the park you are going to save yourself a ton of time. Especially since most of the restaurants aren’t open everyone is crowded into only a few places to eat so the wait times in the quick service restaurants is longer. Unless you do the mobile ordering, which is something I highly recommend.

If you are planning on going to MNSSHP be sure to see the HalloWishes Fireworks Show, the Hocus Pocus Show, and the Boo to You Parade. The parade and Hocus Pocus show are both shown twice and going to the second showing of each of those will be less crowded. So if you want to avoid the crowds as much as possible this is your best bet.
